"Diligence is the mother of Good Luck"..... these amazing words of Ben Franklin can get any thinking mind to delve into the realms of thoughts that provide an impetus to the human body to refresh it ability to push itself into an overdrive mode. It is definitely worth pondering, for all theists as well as atheists alike, who do believe in Good Luck. Especially when it reflects in the lives of others. Often, the Good Luck of others is visualised through the green lenses of envy or the red lenses of jealousy. But seldom do we use the white lenses of wisdom and introspection which could help us in understanding the true perspective about the origin of this Good Luck.

After reading these words, one could actually dissect the process that creates Good Luck. Unlike popular beliefs, good luck doesn't fall from the skies or hide in the digits and toes of Deities. Like all of us mortals, Good Luck is also produced through the process conception by Diligence; the mother,  and Perseverance; the father. It is these two, who come together in unison and create Good Luck as their offspring. Likewise, when Diligence grew into a beautiful woman and Perseverance developed into a handsome Man, they got attracted to each other and decided to get married and entered a lovely house that they named "Work" (directly translated by the wise old sages of the east as "Karma"). It was an appropriate name for their abode because only here, could they come together and create something that the whole world would reckon, else on their own, alone Diligence and Perseverance, without each other’s company, would have been incapable of producing anything great. Work or Karma should never be measured using quantitative units like more or less, but rather be measured using qualitative units of good or bad. It's good Karma versus too much Karma, that really matters, to put it as simply as possible. We need to look at our workplace as a Karmabhoomi and not just as a Cubicle that appears to be the first milestone on the journey to the Corner Office.

Simply sitting on one of the many chairs hidden behind the plethora of cubicles and dreaming about the fortune of occupying the Corner Office will certainly not even fetch us a meal. Respecting our Karmabhoomi and Loving our occupation will definitely help us do the right Karma. This is where Good Luck will be born. Untie from the shackles of envy and jealousy, procrastination and inertia; and Unite with the love of Diligence and Perseverance, and then experience the birth of Good Luck in your own lives.
